Are Power Kits compatible with the current system in my RV?
EcoFlow Power Hub are NOT compatible with third party batteries, but Power Kits system is compatible with third party’s solar panels that have Universal Solar Charge Connector. We suggest to use EcoFlow LFP Battery along with Power Hub, since EcoFlow LFP batteries are stackable and pre-installed with BMS system and fuse box, saving more space and providing more reliability to your system. Even though Power kits system is compatible with third party solar panels, we still suggest to use our high conversion efficiency EcoFlow solar panels to provide powerful long-lasting power to the Power Kits system.
Do you need a Smart Distribution Panel to use Power Kits?
If you're only using a Power Hub and EcoFlow LFP batteries, without the Distribution Panel, you can power appliances by using the AC Outlet on the front of the Power Hub.
Will the TOU mode cause a waste of solar energy?
Under normal circumstances, the TOU mode efficiently utilizes solar energy to prevent waste. Here's how it works: When solar energy is available, the TOU mode intelligently allocates the portions of the battery capacity to be charged from solar and the grid ahead of time. If plenty of solar energy is expected for the day, the grid won't be used to charge the battery unless the actual solar generation falls short. However, in cases where there's excess solar energy and the battery is already fully charged, some of that solar energy may go unused if the solar output doesn't meet the load power requirement.
What is the TOU mode?
The TOU (Time-of-Use) mode is designed to help you save money on a fluctuating rate plan. It charges your battery when the electricity rate is low and discharges it when the rate is high.
Why isn't my TOU schedule being executed?
"Here are a few reasons why your TOU schedule isn't executing: a. The battery has reached its charge limit. b. The battery level has dropped below the backup reserve level. c. Storm Guard has been activated due to severe weather conditions."
How do I set my electricity rate?
"You have two options for setting your electricity rate: a. Go to the device settings page and find ""Electricity rate settings"". b. Alternatively, on the Operating mode page, you'll find a shortcut to electricity rate settings within the TOU mode section."
What's the relationship between backup reserve and charge/discharge limits?
"1. The battery can only be charged up to the charge limit in all scenarios. 2. In savings mode, if the grid is available, the battery will discharge until it reaches the backup reserve level. During a grid outage, it discharges until it hits the discharge limit. 3. If you're not in savings mode, the battery will simply discharge until it hits the discharge limit."
Can the battery be installed on its side?
It is recommended to install this battery upright, with the positive and negative terminals perpendicular to the horizontal surface.
What is the difference between the EcoFlow 12V 100Ah Lithium Trolling Motor Battery and the EcoFlow 12V 100Ah Lithium Battery?
The EcoFlow 12V 100Ah Lithium Trolling Motor Battery can deliver a peak discharging current of 300A for 30 seconds and sustain 150A (1.5C) discharge for around 10 minutes. The EcoFlow 12V 100Ah Lithium Battery can deliver a peak discharging current of 110A for 30 seconds and sustain 100A (1C) discharge. In short, the EcoFlow 12V 100Ah Lithium Trolling Motor Battery offers a higher peak discharging current and the ability to discharge 150A (1.5C) for approximately 10 minutes.
Does this battery have overtemperature (low or high temperature) protection?
Yes, this battery includes both low and high temperature protection for charging and discharging. During charging: Charging will stop if the temperature falls below 0°C or rises above 55°C (<32°F or >131°F). During discharging: Discharging will stop if the temperature falls below –10°C or rises above 55°C (<14°F or >131°F).
What should I do when I receive the battery?
Upon receiving the battery, use a multimeter to test the voltage of the positive and negative terminals (battery range: 10V-14.6V). Confirm that the battery is within the normal voltage range to ensure proper functionality.
How do I charge my battery?
The battery supports multiple charging methods, including solar charging, DC-DC battery chargers, and AC-DC battery chargers. We recommend carefully reviewing the battery's input parameters before selecting a charger.
